Sara Swan trained with the renowned harpists, Roisin Ni She and most recently with Triona Marshall for four years. Having completed all grades of harp study, she undertook additional training, and attained honours in the Senior Certificate Examination with the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Sara has played by invitation at numerous functions which include: Pre-wedding receptions, church weddings, as well as prestigious hotels in Dublin such as The Hilton Hotel, Jury's Hotel and The Merrion Hotel.

Sara has given several harp recitals for the President of Ireland, Mary Mc Aleese.

She regularly performs with the DeilgnisTheatre Company.
Sara's wide repertoire consists of Traditional Irish, Welsh and Scottish pieces, for example O'Carolan. She also plays classical pieces and popular songs including songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Musicals.
